Hi everyone, Sloane here to make a little post about Daughters of the Stars.

A year ago I released this and that was awesome! My goal was to  release another episode, maybe even two this year, after a minor break. But, as it's the last day of the year, it's clear that hasn't happened, and I just wanted to make a little update on the state of the game and what's currently been done for future episodes.

So, this last year my goal was to take a month off in January to recuperate after grinding so much of the end of 2023. I did, and it was hard to get back onto the horse of working, primarily in finding the energy and the concentration for it. Combined with that, people who know know that I moved across the country this year! So, that's also been a big part of the delay. I also got a freelance gig at a studio this year, so another reason why things haven't gone further. I feel really bad, but I am hoping to get more work done on this game in 2025 because it's a game that means so much to me and there's a story I really want to tell.

So, in terms of Episode 3 and beyond, what progress did I make this year?

A major thing: the sprites for all major characters are done! There are some minor characters and one off NPCs I'll have to work on, but every character who will have a major role to play is all set.

There's a loose outline for episode 3, 4, and 5. The story is all set for major plot beats, and episode 3 is about 10% written.

(...It's been a REALLY hectic year and I'm sorry for that).

Hopefully I'll have more updates for you soon, and I'm going to do all I can to have at least episode 3 (and hopefully episode 4, too!) out next year!
